Harv,
Please allow me this moment to clarify:
I am not disputing these scientists' findings.
What I am asking is for the wording of the articles to give us a fuller description of the
phenomenon. I expect other physicists will be
the ones who will groom one another on the rigorous science. When I ask, "how is this different from absorption," I am not claiming
the two phenomena are the same. I think science writing for the public depends on questions like this for improvement, since communication is a loop with feedback. I know that I will understand better if questions like this are answered.
I will see if the article you just posted gives fuller information.
