But the resulting unified field renormalizes the thermodynamics and rezeroes the level of entropy. Hoyle in his latest version of the steady state universe has studied that in detail. Remnants of the unified field in the so-called black hole singularity then squirt out the ends of the black hole thus repopulating the universe with ordered material. The squirts have been observed. Their order has not.

Also, according to superstring theory, black hole singularities can result in the generation of new universes, as described in Greene's The Elegant Universe.
