Paul,

I have only one complaint with your presentation: in that presentation, you begin with, "If we look at the problem of understanding our universe, we realize that all we have to work with are sense impressions", and proceed as if that is a valid starting point. You completely omit a central aspect of any explanation of the universe; that central aspect being that the explanation of the "sense impressions" is part of the explanation of the universe. If that is the case, then any explanation of the sense impressions may be considered valid so long as it is consistent with the explanation of the universe deduced (the entire problem must be attacked in a holistic manner or one is making unwarranted presumptions, building on presumed knowledge which is in truth unknowable).

This symmetry in the problem is the source of the various detailed symmetries I put forth as required. So long as you do not understand how that basic symmetry (that the explanation of the universe must include the explanation of how the information is to be obtained) leads directly to a whole collection of associated symmetries, you are forced to assume I posit those associated symmetries which is a false statement.

I am trying to write up a page which makes this issue clearer.

Wish me luck -- Dick
