My Geography Instructor Told My Class...

In human geoography class, my instructor used me as an example of "the misfits" in mainstream society, not in any negative way, but in a way that showed at least one way in which society changes through the spoken ideas of those who see more than what is laid out for one to see and accept. He then said that there is nowhere else left to go, for in the older days these misfits just went somewhere unpopulated and started thier own realities if they could. But now there is only the ocean or space. He told me in class that if ever offered the opportunity to go to space, I should take it. Actually, I would much rather stay here, but if by the time I get offered such a journey I have not yet built my private vast paridise, secure and self sufficient to the extreame, I guess I would have to accept the offer. Any space travellers looking for some adventure who happens to have a decent spacecraft? Sometimes I hate being a misfit, other times it is a very satisfying human station in life. |
