What? Stopped it? If this is true, the theory of relativity would, like, vaporize. One of the implications of the theory is that relative to your frame of reference, any light that you see is ALWAYS moving at the same speed. That is, light currently moves at about 186,000 miles per second. If you were to accelerate yourself to 185,000 miles per second, you would expect (using Newtonian physics) that that light would be moving, relative to you, at about 1,000 miles per second. But that's not the case, due to time dilation that light would still be moving away from you as fast as it would when you're standing still.

Where did you hear that light was stopped? I am dubious.
