folks just pass along the propaganda like
they were electric wires, and don't add
much or any thought to it...
How would you like it if your fate were
being debated by folks who were mathematically
illiterate and spoke in cliche's and slogans?
That's most of what we hear about social issues
...and some of the problems get bigger and bigger meanwhile. While the folks we have in power make news just by speaking, they don't boldly address the problems with competence and the caution of science because the whole information matrix is soft with idle entertainment and
because the folks doing the real problem-solving work are ignored...ie. researchers, field workers, thinkers. Why are they ignored? Because the information careers are devoted to other pursuits.
