Religions claim to reveal the truth. Science does not.

Some folks need religion, and some don't. Science does not work from the assumption that absolute objectivity is possible, and so I think the basis of your objection is misconstrued.

You are apparently not an ignorant person, so I think that your approach to science as an authority on reality is based within a deep appreciation for its strengths.
