What I was talking about was the rudiments of the philosophy of Soren Keirkegaard, a Danish philosopher who's ideas were used frequently by existentialist philosophers like Albert Camus. He believed that, like I said, the central tenents of any belief are inherently unprovable, and that anyone who wishes to believe anything must take a "leab of faith" i.e. say "I believe..." without actually knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt that what he/she is believing is true or not. The leap of faith is not critical to the rest of my warning/argument, just an additional comment. I hope that clarifies everything.
