I am unconvinced that "setting Delta function to zero" would limit the "most importan"t
number to zero ... if you say zero times zero is always zero, I say:
the function is like a
knob on a control panel...The crew is told, always set this to zero. But the console technician can work around that. In fact,
convoluted though it sounds, the crew cannot change the setting, since there is another
control panel to enable changing that setting.
