These are also true in "western" philosophies and faiths.

"Actual proof" of personal benefit is the same thing that motivated corporate greed.
They built it brick by brick too.
What would distinguish the seeking of power gained by chanting from the seeking of worldly power generally? It is more a life strategy than
a deep contemplation of life's truths.
I chant in my mind sometimes again lately but agree with you it is fun to chant aloud.
