See. I learned a new word.

I think perhaps you have misunderstood me. I have no problem with the whole concept of evolution including gradual changes- which I gather is what speciation is.

It's just that I like to distinguish between observed facts and theories about the mechanisms that correlate the facts and predict new changes.

I am not saying that the theories are incorrect. Rather I suspect that all the proposed mechanisms are operative including divine guidance.

I accept divine guidance because of the role it plays in my life. So it is easy for me to extrapolate that same mechanism to evolution. Perhaps this is where we differ.

I am curious about the worldview that you arrive at using monistic materialism.
