A Theory Is Really Not A Theory

until it has received repeatable verification by experiments. Then it replaces philosophy as viable truth. All philosophy, which includes unverified theory, is relative. That is why down through the ages philosophies have always been in opposition. But once the scientific experimental method was developed, there was no room for opposition within the confines of the experiment.

But I must agree that much of cosmology is still within the realm of philosophy.
