Yes. In fact, I think proof has such stiff requirements for common ground and agreement that it seldom, if ever, happens. As we know, the "proof" that is routinely offered in courts of law is not fool proof. Only in mathematics and logic do we find incontrovertible proofs. These, of course, depend on rigorous, agreed-upon, definitions and rules of logic. Even at that, when you press to find the real nugget of "truth", you find that you have really proved nothing but a tautological statement concerning meaningless concepts.

I think I agree with that. But, does it have something to do with proof? Or was that your thought for the day?
