Evolution Antagonizes Religion

According to evolution life is the result of a cosmic coincidence and has only two purposes: to eat and to have sex, everything else being either a direct consequence of those or just a useless frill.

According to religion life is the inevitable result of the natural order of the cosmos (aka God, Allah, etc.) and its purpose is the promotion of Good and eradication of Evil.

Anyone wo thinks these two points of view can be reconciled is missing the point. At the same time, two seemingly antagonic points of view can still be true from their own perspectives. That's what both creationists and evolutionists don't understand about each other; creationism is true from a creationist point of view, evolution is true from an evolutionist point of view. The debate will go on for as long as neither side realizes the fragility of their position

But of course the creationist will maintain that God is on his side, and the evolutionist will argue that the evidence is on his side, and we're back to square one...

Don't you guys never tire of that?
