I Believe There Were Six Such Values That We Need To Exist

Which is the best argument the athropic principle folks have. A few points, though. First of all, it's not like only life couldn't develop if all of these numbers weren't in sync. All large structures (I think any molecules larger than lithium) couldn't exist. So, rather than saying that we were in mind when the universe came into being, one could easily make the argument that if there is an intelligent designer, he made the universe for the sake of having black holes, or any other massive structure that could not exist otherwise.

Second, inflation theory suggests that new universes are being created all the time. If that is true, it's certainly not unlikely that a universe would eventually form that is not hostile to life (and I might point out that 99.9999999999999% of the universe is absolutely desolate and hostile anyway)

Third, this issue massively begs the question. Saying 'we exist despite the odds, so God's looking out for us' is invalid, since if we never came into being we wouldn't be around to claim otherwise.
