I am grateful I was not born Muslim because
I would hate that Sharia thing.

Now, I can choose.
I used to like listening to Cat Stevens
...one of the keys is personal earnestness.

IF we could all be as earnest as he sounded
on Tea for the Tillerman
and Teaser and the Firecat

THEN it would not matter if we began in error.
We would all find truth.
And nobody would have to compel us if we
were earnest in the search and completely
honest about the boundaries between
our true knowledge and our mere obedience
to religions taught to us by other human beings.
