Organized religion has for the most part interferred with the free development of science. Howqever, specific scriptures do seem to have anticipated some science. When scripture and science are consistent, I take that as comfirmation of a correct direction.

So, for example, I place more faith on the hypothesis of Smolin concerning the birth of universes in black holes than even Smolin seems to.
