Okay okay. After God, then we are the centre of the universe, is what I was trying to say. According to Christianity, God left humans as stewards of the earth (supposedly). However, Christains (some, not all) have used this as the basis for reasons why humans are superior to all other animals. Most Christians will produce statements like: "what separates us from animals is: free will, a soul, love, etc. etc." The sooner we learn that we should be integrated into the animal kingdom, and not manipulators of it, the better off we'll be (and maybe... just maybe we wont destroy each other) :o) P.S. perhaps as an atheist, I'll meet that Carl Sagan in those sulferous pits eh? Can't wait. Canadian winters are so cold and bitter. |
