Hi Rich,

My post (above) to you, Richard _______, could have answered the questions I thought you should have asked. But I decided to respect you by giving your ACTUAL question the kind of attention it deserved. We could make our questions count... and ask our very best questions. oOur time is short for assembling practical wisdom in the modern world.

Scientists have been less able to influence public policy than their merits would suggest... in part because their good intentions could be distracted by fiendishly clever masters of other professions like rhetoric.

I am at the beginning of a short film project on local geology.

I am not your adversary in the quests for truth, beauty or goodness.
