Obviously both science and education has its own politics and all the usual problems that result. I should have said government politics in the original claim. The legal system and elected officials are both controlled by government and its politics. And so I believe that there should be science state separation as well as church state separation to maintain self-policing in each case.

Now that does not always work as we can see from the recent spat of church cover ups of illegal activity. But even so I think self-policing is best if it does work so as to avoid Waco type incidents.

Why don't you make your case?
