"You can believe anything you like- just keep your religion out of politics. It is the law of the USA. If you interfere with church-state separation, you are breaking the law."

Talk about a false view. The Law states that the government may not create an offical religion not that the religion can't get into government. This a confusion about a letter to create by Thomas Jeferson. In it he states that the Law will be a wall created between the government and the church. TO PROTECT THE CHRUCH FROM THE GOVERNMENT'S CONTROL NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. He was afraid that the chruch wouild be politicaly corupted by the government just like the european ones, Namely the Church of England. He never states anything about keeping the church out of the government. This is just an effort by people who hate religion to try to get it out if their lifes. Aside from that since when do we follow what is written in a letter and not the law?
