My Belief

is that god uses what we call evolution in his creation process. The hypotheses that evolution happened because of mechanisms like survival of the fittest and mutation and specie isolation and differentation are, I believe, the means that god used to develop a vast diversity of lifeforms including intelligent life, along with other means like coincidence, disaster, and nowadays direct revelation.

That the earth is 5 billion years old, more or less, and that the fossil record indicates that over that period of time, that more and more complex forms of life came into existense are scientific facts, not a belief. Belief requires faith in my use of the word. Belief is religion and facts are science.

The theory of how evolution happened is not yet complete, and may never be complete. However, the experiment is complete as well as ongoing. We just have to learn how to interpret the data that the laboratory called earth has produced.
