"Mutual respect can go a long way. Without it, why even bother talking."

I agree.

"As for YEC and ICR, though they do seem to sound very good and scientific, they haven't actually been published in any scientific journals."

That is wrong. Many people think this, but it is simply not true. Go about halfway down this link, into the Q&A section. It answers your question:

http://www.icr.org/bible/caic.htm

"This is an important factor because when you are published, you are officially open to criticism and scrutinization."

You would not believe the critism that creationist get when they publish a book or engage in an debate. I have seen rebutals of rebutals of books and the agruments continue.

Me: "But I don't think anybody here (or not many anyhow) can truely say they completely understand Geology."

You: "No one on planet earth fully understands geology. However, I work closely with a geologist who knows a heck alot more and will get his professional license soon. I trust what he says, because he just isn't a geologist, but he lives geology. So if I get anything from him, I treat that as near "biblical" standing in official truth."

I said no one HERE. As in, this forum. And there are many creation scientist who are in the field of Geology. Like I've said, it's not that we have different evidence, but that we interpret the evidence we have differentally.

I'm working on the Cambrian thing now. KC2GWX 73's
