By using the qualification, "according to the person", you are talking about the opinion of that person. So what you are saying is that you may each have the opinion that you are right and the other guy is wrong, and that seems to be the case.

But those opinions are a completely different matter from the question of which, or whether either, of you is right in the sense that your opinions reflect reality. The possibility still exists that both of your interpretations are wrong.
