"Or perhaps his word has been so corrupted over the last 2000 years that the Bible says things that he didn't? Does this strike you as a possibility?"
Do you really think the Bible has corrupted so much in 2,000 years that the whole entire point of it has changed? The whole point of the Bible is the message of salvation, the prophets in the old testament fortold it, the new testament fufilled it. And what about the dead sea scrolls?
There were written at about the time of Jesus, but there are remarkable few changes from that long ago. It is a ridiculous thought that the whole message of the Bible has changed in 2,000 years. Here is some scripture to prove what I am saying, from this website:
"John 10:30 "I and the Father are one."
John 14:11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me
John 10:37-38 Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does. But if I do it, even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father."
Matthew 27:43 He trusts in God. Let God rescue him now if he wants him, for he said, `I am the Son of God.'"
John 17:11 I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name--the name you gave me--so that they may be one as we are one.
John 10:31-33 Again the Jews picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus said to them, "I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?" "We are not stoning you for any of these," replied the Jews, "but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God."
John 17:5 And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.
John 17:10 [Speaking to the Father] All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them.
Mark 14:61b-62 [61b] Again the high priest asked him, "Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?" "I am," said Jesus. "And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven."
Luke 22:66-70 At daybreak the council of the elders of the people, both the chief priests and teachers of the law, met together, and Jesus was led before them. "If you are the Christ, " they said, "tell us." Jesus answered, "If I tell you, you will not believe me, and if I asked you, you would not answer. But from now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the mighty God." They all asked, "Are you then the Son of God?" He replied, "You are right in saying I am."
Daniel 7:13-14 "In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.
When Jesus claimed to be God incarnate, either:
He was telling the truth.
He was lying -- He wasn't God and knew it.
He was a lunatic -- He wasn't God but thought He was.
This is known as The Trilemna."
Do you really think that people added that much stuff to the Bible? Come on, that is a completly ridiculous statment. Maybe it was a joke? Please tell me you don't really believe this! KC2GWX 73's
