If The Earth Is Billions Of Years Old...

1. Why is the biggest desert only 4,000 years old?

2. Why is oil still pressurized when it loses all of it's pressure in about 10,000 years?

3. If scientists at the Denver National Ice Core labratory say that they have a sample of Ice that is 10,000 feet deep with 135,000 pairs of anual dark and light rings. Which they say proves the ice is 135,000 years old. And if as they say the average rate in which the ice forms is 1.125 inches. Then how could the lost squadron, that landed in Greenland durring WW2, be under 263 feet of ice if they only landed 48 years ago? Shouldn't they have been under only 4.5 feet of ice if the scientists are correct?

This is all I could think of as of now.
