300 million stars in our galaxy alone, countless billions of other galaxies, and we're the only ones in it? Egad. You have an elevated perspective of our role in the universe. If you lived several hundred years ago you wouldn't have questioned that the earth is the center of the universe, despite Galileo's evidence to the contrary. |
