Before this debate goes any further, I need to ask you a question that ends 90% of religious debates on this issue:

Do you say that faith is irrational?

If yes [that is, you don't need proof to believe] then we can end this now and go our seperate, ways, or I can try to convince you that that irrationality is a drawback.

If you say no, I'd be surprised.
