I Need To Review This

Richard,

I'm glad that you've taken the time to review some of the literature on this subject. I don't have time right now, but I'd like to review it. However, I'm afraid much of the mathematics might be beyond my math abilities.

My focus has been the philosophical basis of Dick's work. At first it is common to be fooled by terms such as equating numbers with 'unknown data', until we understand that Dick is actually talking about the existence of real numbers (i.e., a derivative of a Pythagorean religion). I think that once the philosophical basis of Dick's work is better understood, we can see his real errors. The scientific issues that he broaches are interesting, but obviously the interpretation he places on these 'discoveries' is misguided.

It would be nice to get a whole range of comments from physicists, philosophers, etc. But, that's probably hoping for too much. In any case, all the physicists and philosophers in the world would not convince Dick that he is wrong. He holds the view that he cannot make mistakes once he has thought about the issue.

Warm regards, Harv
