Paul,

>>>"Does that understanding enable you to discern the personalities behind the postings on these forums?"

Of course. Personality is not a person's self; not his essence. Personality is simply how a person presents himself to others. If not via communication, then how else might you suggest we present ourselves to others?

>>>"Most of us are not skilled at crafting words even in an attempt to communicate our ideas."

Quite the contrary. We're all quite capable of expressing ourselves.

>>>"Do you think there is a slight chance that maybe you are self-deluded regarding your amazing abilities to detect that people like Stafford are self-deluded without ever meeting him?"

My abilities are not 'amazing' by any stretch of the imagination. However, as this is not a psychology forum, I can't realistically expect you to appreciate the elementary nature of my observations.

For instance, the fact that your unsolicited opinions about my opinions are heavily peppered with passive-aggression speaks volumes. I'm flattered.

>>>"Your credibility as a result has gone to zero for me."

So why have you crafted such a lengthy appeal for me?

;)
