Absolutely. The mysteries of death and what happens after it is profound and has definetly shaped our contruct of our perception, fears, and inevitable actions. It may appear as a threat because the answers to it's purpose and meaning remain and will always remain a mystery. What we do not understand, in an all so human reaction, is always theatening. Our arrogance as a race has struggled to create institutions and sciences that attack the subject...but always to no avail. But! Our limited understanding of the complexities of the universe and ourselves. Remember that energy cannot be destroyed but change from one for to another. If this theory being true, death is a process of metamorphisis. When I pass away my remains will continue to be a part of the greater whole. It is now. Why should that change? I found that the Tao Teh Ching assimilates that subject of the wholeness and emptiness. How one gives rise to each other like cycles of life and death. The christians my not agree with this but you need evil to be good. Tön |
