Philosophy isn't trying to entertain like musicians


Please buy some tickets to a performance of, say, Tchaikovsky's Pathetique Symphony, Mozart's Requiem, or Beethoven's Missa Solemnis, then we'll talk. If Britney Spears is your idea of music, then you can't possibly understand what I'm talking about.

(musical tidbit: Tchaikovsky committed suicide one week after the premiere of his Pathetique Symphony, and after you hear it a few times you'll probably want to do the same. That's entertainment!)
