What makes one source book more valid than another? Why the bible over the koran? Why the koran over the egyptian hieroglyphs?

It's fine to take responsibilty for what you believe but I am asking for someone to back it up with something else than "because I believe its true". Any religion can make that assertion.

Where did I ask you to decide for me? It was just something that I wondered about. Instead you give me a non-answer.
