Hi Dick,
Good to hear from you.
***Clearly, from my perspective, you are attacking the problem entirely backwards!***
The problem??
***The fundamental issue is, how do you explain the current state of affairs!***
Yes. That is the big mystery and it is a challenging problem to clear it up. But, as Aurino keeps hinting, it may be hopeless.
On the other hand, there are scientists who continue to build an impressive structure of inferences from what they theorize and what they observe. As we know from history, sometimes some of their premises are wrong and it leads them in the wrong direction until they are forced to notice it.
From my relatively uninformed vantage point, just trying to make sense of what scientists have been telling us they see through their telescopes, it seems to me that there is an inconsistency in the story.
So, rather than tackling the big problem of explaining everything, I just took a little time to write up what looks like an inconsistency so that either I can straighten out my thinking so it no longer seems to be inconsistent, or, if by some chance it really is inconsistent, it might be brought to the attention of the scientists.
Since I had already written it up, I took the opportunity to present the question to the Astronomer with the big gun, or however he described himself.
It's all nothing but fun, and that's what you keep telling me to have.
Warm regards,
Paul
P.S. I am interested to know how close you think Mike is to expressing what you discovered in his 1) and 3) at
