The Monkey In The Mirror

I saw him there. He was right there; in the mirror. He was a monkey.
I see him everyday in the mirror everytime I go in front of the mirror.
The question is:
Why don't all the people find the monkey in themselves when they look into the mirror?
Or
May be I should ask the question that
Why do I find a monkey and not something else in the mirror?
Why am I not different?
Why am I a monkey?
(These are the words of a 'religious' man, well read in biological evolution)
So what do you think? Why are we not different?
