Whose ya professer? I'm about ta be a bore.
Don't listen to me !
Whatta ya do if they don' look things up?

Nobody listens when they do, either. Too bad.
There's a lot of good information in the minds of
professors...good, assembled information which took years to comprehend but can be imparted in only weeks or months...or sentences and paragraphs!

Sometimes a good documentary film script will require hours of work to find the right 20 words for one sentence ! Similar to professorship
--if they're doing their job. But because life
is so deep, in some subject areas, we cannot do much to sort out great professors from nice but entirely wrong-headed ones. And what of their opinions outside their area of doctorabilityness?

A doctor's degree in most fields is just a license to wish others would study too.
In a couple fields, a doctor's degree is a license to hope others will not study, forTHEIR
authority is maintained by deception, not being
truly ahead.
