An open letter:
To the concerned, intelligent agnostics, Jews, atheists and everyone reading here:

If you read to the end, you will only have wasted about three minutes. If not, you might waste a chance to know where I'm coming from.
I choose to have a prime directive to program sociological cybernetic hierarchies.
Good government is so hard to find. Government, however, is inevitable. Universal government, to the extent there is one, deserves some thought.
The meaning of life has my interest, and I have made provisional choices. If monsters or hypocrites wave the same banner, that could be a strategy to discredit a very good program.
The program I selected is the one who represents most of these: free speech, kindness, conversation, patience, good government, justice with wisdom, friendship, approaching old problems creatively, taking fullest responsibility, and the problem of bad managers exercising raw power, sometimes more power than folks who live by the other values I just mentioned.
The story of Jesus is about this. I don't mind if Dr. Dick writes a better story. I would be surprised if you can. If you can, someone will take the trouble to fulfill it, no matter how impossible. Jesus did this. He knew of a story and did try to fulfill it. Some say he did, others say he didn't. To me, what he did, or what his story illustrates, makes that question
moot.
Mike
