Neat about that method Dr. Stafford shared.
Even birds must transmit cultural information, Darwin observed -- tumbler pigeons. Some birds don't quite get the job done in the rush of our times, I'd bet.
I think we CAN be smarter than the past but since knowledge is not hereditary I do not think of past thinkers as having been necessarily more primitive, ESPECIALLY in our fairly uproarious modern information environment. We must have the quiet time. I have long felt interrupted...
