To the contrary. We can stop whining. We can stop worrying. We can stop working. And we can have fun.

I think the key to resolving your pessimism is to move away from your current perspective and consider two others. First, take a look from the biggest picture, from the highest level, and the longest term and I think you will see that everything is moving along just as it should.

Then take a look at your specific position at the lowest level to determine how you can have the best time in your particular high rise without tangling with the manager. I'm sure there's enough wiggle room there for you to have a ball.
