The Society of the
ORDER OF THE ANCIENT WAY BOOKLET.
This is the fourth edition of this booklet necesitated because we have found
to our horror that it has been deliberately misinterpret, yet again, to fit
and protect the belief and fears of those who should know far better.
The booklet was written originally with the purpose of giving some insight
into the ways and teachings of probably the oldest Society that is known
today. The Way has been around since before the time of Odin. Odin started
the brotherhood of Nazarenes for the protection of knowledge as he knew and
understood it's uses both good and evil.
The way is some times considered to be a religion because it has been
called in the past "The religion with no name". It of course is not a
religion because religion requires dogma, and we have no form of dogma. It
is however a Philosophy of life that is followed religiously, and although
there is no belief or faith involved, it is concerned none the less with the
spiritual needs of man. We have no Gods and recognise no deities or demons
The Way operates solely on knowledge and hard provable fact. We are
gatherers and retainers of knowledge according to both our laws and our
We do not accept belief as fact. It matters not how deeply entrenched a
belief is, it is still only belief. As our knowledge increases with time
and through scientific advancement so does our outlook change.
We are aware that we do not have all the answers, as a matter of fact we are
painfully aware that we have very few answers. This is no different than
anyone else. Many would argue this point, insisting they know this or that,
but they don't. They are just telling you what they believe which though it
may sound good, it is still not fact. It tells only that which they in fact
do not know.
The main difference between organised religions and The Way is that we do
not pretend to have all the answers and what answers we have we can prove.
We are always searching for truths beyond the truths we now hold. We are
always searching and though often disappointed, but we none the less always
Because we have the ability to change we are sometimes referred to as an
occulted religion, the word occult meaning, "changing". We can't deny this,
as we are always changing. The word games go on forever and they are just
that. Word games. We are called a cult whenever it suits other to demean us
for their own purposes which are varied and mostly make no sense or follow
any reason. We object to this title .To be defined as a cult there must of
course be a system of belief, a dogma, a system of worship, and a God
figure. So we are not a cult. We as one would expect, strongly object to
being grouped in this way with other followings of doubtful sanity, or
unsavoury nature. We also object to those who class us this way either
through design in order to degrade us, or through ignorance. The latter
being the usual case. Jesus the Christ said "Forgive not the ignorant as
ignorance is a choice". Whether by design or ignorance the result remains
It has always been suggested that we indulge in devil worship, black magic
etc. This has been suggested, again through base motive, to turn people
against us or at least makes us appear dangerous, thus helping to protect
belief against reason.
Just one of the many ways that the followers of false beliefs protect
themselves and maintain their hold over the hearts and minds of people.
We have always been considered a great threat to organised religions who
have either denied any knowledge of our existence, or attributed their own
darker side to us, by killing us or just making our lives difficult. We
have remained mainly secret until I became Commander in Chief, this has
been for our own protection. Our membership still remains somewhat though
less secret for this same reason, and as far as I and my fellow brethren
are concerned will have to keep things that way, until men know and show
reason, and that is likely to be for a long, long time, if ever.
Unfortunately men still show little reason in these matters. It gets
preached a lot but seldom do you see any evidence to support the preaching.
My only reason for breaking that secrecy some several years ago, is simply
that I think that the minds of men are just starting to open. Realisation is
starting to dawn about the condition of the planet for instance.. People are
starting to realise that the World is dying beneath their feet, and they can
no longer turn their backs or believe otherwise. The Ending of Days as
prophesied by Jesus is upon us. We either reason or die and the time for
reason is slipping past very quickly. The blame for the Ending of Days is
due directly to the following of false belief and doctrines of one kind or
another. The only thing that will save mankind now is Reason, and the
certainty of provable knowledge.
The main things that make us so very different from the mainstream of
organised religions and societies, is that we seek knowledge and provoke
We accept only that which is provable, demonstrable and if only theory, that
which is reasonable, logical, or makes sense. We cannot see what is so
wrong with this outlook. We have never tortured people to force them to
believe as we do. There is no point. We have no belief as such. We have our
theories, but recognise them only as theories and as such, a starting point
for research, hopefully leading to more and greater knowledge. Any theories
that we hold are not held as any more than just theory, until proven one way
or another. We therefore never turn against anyone because of what they
believe, as belief is only belief, and no more than that. We haven't
injured anyone because of his or her beliefs. This is not only because we do
not kill without good reason but mainly because the truth has a way of
protecting itself. Whatever it is, it will remain the truth no matter how
much effort is put into trying to alter it, reinterpret it, or in forcing or
manipulating others to believe differently. The truth remains the truth.
We have recently been picked up on our law that states. " Kill not without
good reason..". To the reasonable mind this statement is very clear, but we
find that we constantly have to struggle with the unreasonable. It was
suggested that as long as we feel or believe that we have good reason, then
we would kill. Again this is obviously nonsense. Our countries are still
sending soldiers out to kill and we would question if the reason is always
honest, or indeed even reasonable. We appear to stand condemned for what
someone only believes what we are about; and what we are likely to do
according to the working of their minds, and not ours. This type of person
not only tends to judge other without reason but thinks and acts without
reason. None that is, except one of self-motivated excuse, or in the
protection of some belief or other that they hold dear for their own bas
reasons Should one of us dare to offer reason where belief rides high then
their wrath knows no bounds, and any and all reason is denied existence. We
always stand judged by others on what they themselves would think or do, not
on anything that we actually say or do.
The only reason that we will kill is if our lives are threatened, if the
lives of our loved one are directly threatened, or we will kill animals for
food, only for food and only if that food is necessary to sustain us. The
natural law of self-protection and the protection of the weak against the
bullyboys of this World are considered just and r4easonable by our law. We
accept that sometimes in order to protect the innocent and the less powerful
it may become necessary to kill one in the protection of the many.
There are many beliefs about us. The most ridiculous one I know of is that
we don't really exist. Ironically the person who was saying so at the time
with such firm belief and conviction was looking directly at three of us.
But that's belief for you. We are also accused of devil worship.
Devil worship is the brainchild of other religions certainly not ours. In
The Way, we have always said that each and every thing that crawls, swims or
flies on the face of the earth or above the Earth, is a beast, including the
We bleed, breed, feed and live and die, as do all other beasts. However we
have seen that inside each and every thing that lives on the face of the
earth, there is a varying degree of humanity, which ranges from none at all,
to far too much for the good of the being concerned. This varying degree of
humanity either controls or does not control the beast. The beast is
considered in fact to be the base nature of us all. I am sure that you will
all have experience of this undeniable fact.
Along came the organisers of the new religions, put the horns and the tail
on the idea, and Old Nick was invented. The bogey man whose only purpose was
to be used to keep those foolish enough to believe it, in line, and we are
accused of worshipping this imaginary beast, who was invented and used by
someone else for their own base purpose, and obviously is not taken
seriously by us. This together with the invention of the old man in the sky
who loves us all, but at the same time is prepared to burn us in hell for
eternity with the help of this demon, if we should displease either himself
or those who he has put to rule over us. From this the greatest
manipulation of man, for the benefit of the few was born. I hope that all
the misconceptions and fears about the Society known today as The Way, or
The Order Of The Ancient Way can at last be laid to rest, and put into
proper perspective, for the benefit of all. Even Joshua Ben Miriam, known
better as Jesus the Christ. Said, "I have come before you to prepare The
Way". He was a member of The Way in his time and a member of what has been
known for a long time at The Lost Brotherhood, namely "The Nazarenes". We
have never been lost we just could not afford to be found. A town was even
renamed to explain him being a Nazarene. Such was the thinking of those who
wanted to make men believe, that they even denied Jesus the Christ his right
to his actual reality and from then on interpreted everything he said as if
he was a fool and did not know what he ment
Many find it difficult to understand how the hierarchy works, because
anyone can raise themselves by degrees. At one time we were called priests
which led to difficulties This is mainly due to the fact that to us Priest
simply meant teacher. Some recognising the power in the name used it to
mean someone with the ear of some deity or other who could get you into
paradise. Again untrue. The duties of the priesthood then was not very
different from the duties of Priests of other followings, except that we
didn't go around praying or handing out blessings or pretending to be
righteous etc. We now use the degree method as before but the titles are
different such as first degree Second degree Up to master at the sixth
The other major difference is in the fact that we are involved in people's
lives in practical ways such as arranging bulk buying to save our members
money, which we consider important. We are also involved in finding sources
of uncontaminated food and water whenever we can which is not only important
but in today's circumstances is crucial. We are involved in development of
various methods of plant fertilisation and animal husbandry, amongst other
things to help survival in the coming difficult times that face the human
race. We involve ourselves in the lives of our people politically.
Chapter meetings are held and a consensus of opinion is taken, as to which
politician they consider to be the best, our members are then directed to
vote according to majority of opinion. This will ensure as far as possible
that the vote of the individual member will not be wasted as it usually is.
Numbers equal strength.
If you should require something from government, who cares about you or your
one vote? In reality, no one.
If we approach your friendly neighbourhood politician on your behalf,
providing the request is reasonable, he or she would find it very
unprofitable come election time, should he/she decide not to bother
assisting. You are no longer just one vote, or indeed just one lone person
on you own, up against the system.
Your Degree holders will see to that. It has always worked for us where we
have had a good membership, and as the membership grows the attention
received by those in power grows acordingly. Some of it however will not be
of the kind of attention we particularly want as the purported guardians of
governmental power have little or no conscience, and the in retention of
such power have even less conscience.
Still we know if we shake the tree some of the apples could land on our
heads, and a lump or two is to be expected. As anyone can become a Degree
holder so can they rise through the ranks, from first to sixth. However,
form the sixth to the ninth degrees these are reserved for those born with a
caul, which is a mask of skin over the face held and on by two loops around
the ears. This is not to be mistaken with the lucky cap as it is called,
which is placenta stuck to the face or head. The Caul itself is quite
distinctive, and rare. The birth of a Caulbearer can be foretold
astrologically, and because it is the only birth that can be foretold in
this manner or indeed in any other manner, it has been considered very
special. Hence the star in the east, and the slaughter that followed to kill
the Caulbearer Jesus, as it did when the High Caulbearer Moses was born and
other before that. It may sound a little odd but this method is used by many
The Caul has been considered the most powerful of talismans for thousands of
years, and the old ones, wise in their ways hedged their bets, as far as
Caulbearers. were concerned. The Caulbearer was considered very special,
but just in case it was also a barrier to stop the rich and powerful from
taking over for their own ends. This fact alone has hampered the advance of
The Way for very obvious reasons, and such practice is looked upon as a
dubious one as it limits those who would like to take the top position and
turn The Way into something that would suit them better. With as usual no
concern for reality, justice, or the needs of anyone else.
If the king's son can't have all his own way at the games, there will be no
games, as the saying goes. As Degree holders we are also human and prone to
human failures and weaknesses. We are mostly well-meaning, mostly good, but
there is always the odd one who manages to slip past for one reason or
another, and starts doing things for their own benefit only, serving their
ego etc. They are always dealt with as soon as they come to light. They are
dealt with according to their behaviour and if severe, nearly always
shunned; no one will speak to or assist them in any way or even look at
them. As far as we are concerned they no longer exist. Those who are
expelled often complain of us doing this or that to them, it is never true
because to do anything to them would acknowledge their existence and we will
never do that as it would defeat the purpose.
I must point out at this time that when a man or woman seeks to become a
member on being accepted, they pledge their lives, and all that they are to
The Way and to the Degree holder who accepts them. They also pledge
themselves to all the membership of The Way as a whole. Total loyalty is
expected and given.
They then work under the guidance of the Degree holder in authority and
under his/her guidance directly. The Degree holder works under the
authority of the next degree above him/her to the tenth Degree.
All give their lives literally into the ownership of the Degree holder whose
authority they work under, all the way up to the tenth Degree, and all are
in turn responsible for their charges below them, and must serve those
charges to the best of their abilities. We have no objection however to
fair profit or payment for labours rendered, but the accent is on the word
fair. We live not by wealth alone though it does help. Bread is also
necessary, the bread of life, the very stuff of humanity, that which
overrides the beast, our base nature and makes us human. Including the
Commander in Chief, all the Degree holders are chosen solely on merit.
The Commander in Chief is also chosen by the existing Commander in Chief
before his death and cannot refuse the position. He or she is chosen by him
or her alone, and only when death is imminent.
The Priesthood will always help whenever called upon to judge or to settle
disputes. We perform our own form of marriages, which I hasten to add are
not recognised by the powers that be. That's their problem. We hold all to
be equal; no human being can own another, unlike marriage in most religions,
where the woman is given to be married, or even sold into marriage. We
value women above all things as their value to mankind is beyond bounds. We
also take care of them accordingly and this does not allow them to bend or
ignore the rules. Because of this we do not accept superiority or
inferiority in marriage or otherwise.
We may be healers, herbalists, cartometrists, astrologers, doctors, lawyers,
farmers, factory workers, Tax collectors, butchers, bakers or candlestick
makers. We all have something to give. All are equal and necessary in their
own way and each is vital to the existence of all. This is why we pledge
our very lives. We would consider that without the miner, the delivery boy,
the packers etc. the brain surgeon would have no scalpel and therefore,
would not be able to do his job.
Without the cleaners and street sweepers we would all be up to our necks, so
each is necessary and vital to the existence of all. Whatever else we are,
we are seekers of truth. We all want to know what makes this great big World
keep turning, and what is even more important, how to keep it turning. We
do not accept like most religions do that man has dominion over the birds
of the air, the fishes of the sea and all things that crawl upon the earth.
Man himself is just a beast, just the same as any other animal. If you
watch you can see the beast at work every day of your life. Though sad, it
is never the less fact. The beast can be seen in every walk of life behind
the most respectable facades, where greed and self interest rule and
mindless destruction abounds.
It is a fact that where the beast abides, even the simple pleasure of
scratching is begrudged.
It can be observed in the kennels, in the mansions and palaces of kings, by
the roadside, in the market place, in the towns, in the country, in the
homes of the humble, and even among families. Because the beast is the base
nature of us all, we must beware the beast. It watches, and it waits.
It rises up within us, but hopefully humanity controls, checks it, and
It was from this very simple observation that an idea was born in the minds
of the most evil among us. This perverse concept was to be used solely for
the purpose of control, to enslave both the minds and bodies of people, in
the service of the most base of motives, blind self-interest, to rule the
It is being used in the service of those whom this God has put above us, the
biggest deceit ever, as even this God was invented, for the same reason, and
to the same purpose. This is while the very power that makes the whole World
turn, the real power, the visible, palpable, provable power of nature, the
goddess, the mother herself, gets raped by the real, living, breathing,
abominations, that crawl on this wonderful, beautiful, wounded, dying Earth.
And they have the effrontery to call themselves human, made in the image of
he who dose not exist, to even call themselves, to believe themselves to be
superior, beggars all understanding. "Superior to what?" I ask myself.
Would your dog do the things these people do? Would a rat from the sewer do
such pointless things?
I think not, but then we can always "believe" that it's not happening can't
we? Someone will do something about the state of the world. "Who and What"
The degree structure of The Way is organised in such a way, as to prevent
those of base motive from grabbing power within the Order.
Hence the observance of the Caul. We are all aware that to command the ears
of a man is the way to imprison his heart. We prefer men to feel with a free
heart, to think with a free mind, and to live with a free spirit. In the Way
all the Degree holders have to give account twice a year to their superior,
but must give account on request whenever he/she is required to do so.
The usual times for giving account is at the solstices, which is
In times gone by, if a Degree holder had offended badly enough, their lives
would have been forfeit. To us being a member of the order of degree
holders is the highest possible honour, and far too important to allow any
form of baseness to interfere.
Our badge is of service, and our honour is in the performance of that
service, both to our fellow man and to the Earth on which we rely for
We are expected to do these things to the best of our ability. Every Degree
holder attends in private. This is mainly because affairs of a sometimes
delicate nature may be discussed, affairs of the individuals in the charge
of the Degree holder, which obviously are not for public airing.
Confidentiality is always observed in such matters as it is in various
religions, again for obvious reasons. During solstice these days, account
may be given over the phone because of distance etc.
It may be given a little before or after the Solstice according to the
numbers involved. Audience may be requested by a Degree holder above the
sixth Degree to discuss some matter or other that may be troubling, At
Solstice meetings however tradition and the rules will be upheld, no matter
what the circumstances may be. The Degree holder will meet with the seventh
Degree holder or above in private and later as a group if desired, to
discuss whatever, and attend to whatever requires attention or agreement,
kick ideas around make plans for the future and the like.
As belief plays such a strong role in most peoples' lives, we have found
that often people will say, "You have to believe in something". Well if we
believe in anything we believe in the certainty of provable knowledge only.
We have no faith or beliefs in a God, or gods of any kind as other religions
do. We do however recognise that there is a force out there that we can see
and experience in our everyday lives. We do not however invent a belief to
explain this force.
We in fact have no provable idea as to what it is or what its purpose is, if
"It" has one. Everything to us must be provable, or demonstrable, to be
accepted as having value. To be accepted as a theory it must at least make
sense, according to our knowledge at that time. We have little knowledge of
this force at this time but then again "Maybe tomorrow".
We have a peculiarity as some might see it and that is we always eat our
meat before we eat anything else. We do this as we consider that it is
bought at a high price, mainly that a creature died so that we can eat.
Other people think that we are mad for doing this. We look upon the
slaughter of an animal for food as unfortunate as we are caught up in this
food chain, together with all other creatures. So we eat our meat first so
that it will not be wasted, if there should be more on your plate than you
can eat, better that something vegetable is left.
We never burn food of any kind, or bury it to rot. It might save the life of
another creature, and you know where that can lead even if you look at it
selfishly. That creature might live longer and eat some bug that may
otherwise kill you or the plants or animals that you need for survival.
So feed all waste food to the wild things. They need it, and as men we do
reap what we sow. The person who lives in the city needs the wild things
just as much as the country dweller does, even though he/she may not be
quite so aware of it. We all live together on this planet, bound by the
laws of nature, they are not always pleasant laws. The life of an animal is
as precious to it, as yours is to you. It feels pain and fear as we do. It
might not have the understanding or level of intelligence we have, but that
doesn't take away the fear, the terror or the pain, and it wants to live,
not die. We therefore kill our animals differently. We do not herd them
together in a pen, smelling the blood of their fellows and hearing the
sounds of death. We kill when we must, separately, quickly and above all as
painlessly as possible, both physically and emotionally. We are not
fanatics. Sometimes we have to eat meat killed in the usual way at the local
slaughterhouse, but whenever we can, we will avoid it. Have you ever been to
one of those places? Killing anything is never pleasant, but they could try
We of course differ in the fact that we do not consider that we have
dominion over all things. We are part of this mad circle of life, and as we
judge mankind solely on the humanity he displays, we don't have much of an
opinion of "the powers that be" in this respect. We don't hunt animals for
fun, but we will hunt for food if we must. The Christian commandment which
says, "Thou shall not kill", is a bastardisation of our old law which says.
"Kill not without good reason" It doesn't say kill not men without good
reason, just simply " No man shall kill without good reason, not man, beast,
green thing, that which flies, or lives in water, even that which is
harmful, all things have their purpose". This law to us is plain and doesn't
require a degree in divinity or law to interpret. It simply means what it
says, and if man had only followed this law, think of the difference it
would have made to the World. If man had not been led to believe that his
species was godlike, separate, and in control, via the divine help of those
various peddlers of that most elusive of beasts "Truth". How different and
better this World would have been for us all. Organised religion relies on
belief and calls it "Truth"; while at the same time denies hard facts and
We cannot see how this approach can be justified. God will not provide as
most people have been led to believe in the past, as God only exists in the
minds of men. He is imagined as a man, with all the attributes of man. To
name but a few, hate, jealousy, spite and so on. It has been very easy to
get away with this theory up till now, as there wasn't much evidence obvious
to the masses, but times have changed despite the efforts of those in
control. It is now so far out of hand they can't hide or ignore it any
longer, and the mess will now be left up to those who know how to clean it
up, as the believers are either too blind and too scared to see what is
happening around them. Nature could not live up to their wonderful dream,
but in reality what is wonderful about it. Nothing that I can see.
I have been asked several times lately why come out in the open with the
old Way now
The answer is simple. It's time. The Mother now dies beneath our feet.
Those in power have always known the situation, and sadly for the rest of us
had not sufficient humanity to override their base instinct and change
direction, till it's almost too late. Even now they are more worried about
votes than they are about pollution and disease.
Promise them jobs. Show them football. Teach them to drink instead of
think "They" say that the ordinary people will soon forget about the state
of the planet. We say to you, on pain of death for all future
generations. "DO NOT FORGET; AND PLEASE THINK"! Because of adoption of this
base attitude they have put not only us in danger of extinction, but in
their blindness, and stupidity, "themselves". They are putting the very
World that sustains us in jeopardy, and for what? To gain power, to sustain
the status quo, and the control they have over it, allowing them to rule
with ease, and maintain their false, though exalted positions.
To us life is a circle. " Take not anything that you do to put back." The
third law. Honour that which dies so that you may live. Life is a process.
Neither is it an end or is it the beginning of anything. Life is energy. We
are all made of energy. This is a fact. Proven beyond doubt by no less than
Albert Einstein. You cannot kill energy; you can only alter its use. As
energy does not die, only changes, we therefore do not cease to exist but
merely change, as we do from birth to adolescence, from maturity and to old
age. So we change with the wearing of our bodies. Our energy has been
floating around since long before the World began, since before the Big
Bang. Even the planet itself is made of energy, the implosion of the black
hole, from which our World was born, as we know it. Energy was lying in
wait, so to speak, since time immemorial, the same energy that is here today
the same energy as we are all made from.
You may have heard people talk of the ether that surround us. It was partly
understood thousands of years ago, but it took Einstein to prove the theory.
He named it Relativity, thus proving the non-existence of God, and the
existence of what The Way has always called the force. The Old peoples
thought that it must be female, The Goddess, because they said, "from whose
womb all things are born".
It is a proven fact that we are made up of energy, therefore death is just
People see ghosts and have all sorts of manifest experiences. Ghosts are
usually transparent and have the ability to pass through walls and disappear
etc, Why? Simply they are the energy of those passed. The density of this
energy dictates the depth of visibility. Certain people have extra
sensitivity. Their superconscious minds are more able to see these
apparitions than the minds of others.
Some are very sensitive while others vary form less to not at all. Some may
see things while under a severe mental strain, or just in an automatic pilot
frame of mind. When out of the corner of their eye, It's there; It's gone,
What? Who? It's just the energy, or some might say," The spirit" of a
person, a horse, even a carriage, a car, or literally anything, and now
cradled in the arms of the Goddess, cradled in the arms of nature, energy to
be re-used, recycled, in this huge chemical plant of nature. So fear not,
dear friend. I can't prove it to you beyond doubt, but almost.
You have been around for more that thirty five billion years, in one form
or another, and you will more than likely be back, Mind you this is still
only theory, but its a fair bet.
I have stated before that we prefer to eat meat that has been killed in a
certain way, but we are taught and realise that we live in a World with many
people with different views and beliefs.
So where needs must, we survive, and as we only understand right and wrong
we often have to live with things that go against our conscience. We do this
perhaps more easily, as the blame for the sorry way that most religious
groups treat and view animals, as being there solely to be abused as they
see fit, is their fault, and not ours. We do the best we can and therefore,
as long as we have done so, we see no point in self-guilt or recrimination.
If meat has been killed, shall I say "carelessly", without giving too much
offence, and incurring the wrath of those holy and pious people who manage
to ignore the plight of our fellow beings, then if we can find no other way
we must eat. The animal is already dead therefore the blame for it's
suffering lies not with the eater, but with those who seem to know no
better, or couldn't care less. Unless pushed we would nevertheless try to
avoid buying such meat so as not to encourage bad practice. To encourage
such things without effort in doing otherwise to us would be very wrong. We
are taught to hold our voices on such matters by experience as those who
believe they are special don't like to be shown the less palatable fact of
this not being the case.
It has been proved time and time again that it is usually too much for them
if they are faced with this reality. The result is usually violence against
the unwise or unfortunate who places this particular reality before them.
Part of the psychology of organised religion is to lead people to believe
that they are godlike and superior, as they are more likely to accept this
than face the real truth which is of course less palatable than the ego of
the beast would readily accept.
In The Way we still warn, "Beware of the beast". Other religions, not
understanding or not wanting to understand, placed the beast as a fallen
angel, who waits for you should you transgress. We as reasoning people
cannot support this theory, as it is certainly neither provable,
demonstrable, nor even wildly imaginable. The base nature of us all is to be
witnessed every day. We kill only as is laid down, and when absolutely
unavoidable, and never for greed, or fertiliser.
The Christian saying, "Do unto others as they would ..." etc." read
originally as " Do no injustice to any thing". To us, causing pain either
emotionally of physically or to damage any living thing without good reason
is in fact as unjust as you can get. We are part of the same energy.
We are part of the same World. We cannot live without each other, be you man
or beast, fish, tree, blade of grass, or even the smallest bug. We are
linked. Break this chain at you peril.
You will no doubt know of the pentacle, the five-pointed star in a circle.
If you look at the wheels of cars you will be surprised at their five-spoke
arrangement. Things like the law enforcement badges in the USA such as the
badge of the Texas rangers for one. It has always been reputed to have
magical properties and to be a protector against evil. There are those who
believe it to be evil in itself. It is believed by many that it is used by
witches to cast spells of evil on their fellow
Man. Both are wrong. You will find an illustration with explanations, in
this booklet to help you to understand it's original purpose and use in
everyday life. The pentacle represents the Seven responsibilities of man.
The circle represents the World we live in. It is very obvious to anyone
that our responsibility to this is of utmost importance, for the most
practical of reasons. As you view the pentacle you will notice that it
hangs from the top point of the star, which represents the wearer. Again if
you do not take care of yourself who can you take care of. This is not
selfishness as some would say, just practicality. You are responsible for
what you do and must accept that responsibility. The next point is the one
on the left, representing the parents, or where we come from. Unlike other
followings we do not accept that we are individuals in entirety. We are half
of our mothers and half of our fathers. We carry their everlasting life,
that which other religions talk about. We carry their genetic information
forward into the future. They took care of us when we could not take care
of ourselves. Therefore it is fitting that we take care of them when they
can no longer take care of themselves. The point to the right represents
your children, where you are going. Again it is your genetic information
going on into the future. Hence the reason that we consider our children to
be the most important thing in our live, in fact the whole point of our
lives. You will not find child abuse amongst us in any form, Though we have
been accused of it. Such a thing is considered to be beyond the point of no
return for anyone, no matter what the excuse. I say excuse as there can be
no reason. The lower right point is like a leg, which represents the
spouse. The spouse makes the going forward possible. Kick this leg from
below you and you fall. The lower left point, again a leg, represents your
fellow man without whom you would find existence difficult to say the least,
and at best impossible or pointless. The hole in the centre of the pentacle
represents the spirit of man. Forget not the needs of the spirit, lest we
wither and die. Hence are listed the responsibilities of man, seven in all,
and each of these responsibilities carries many other responsibilities
within. Think on them every day. Use it like a yardstick to see how you are
Reflect and become whole and worthy of your kind. Perhaps the pentacle does
contain magic. Perhaps it does protect against evil. Perhaps it's believed
goodness or badness depends, as with many things, upon the intent of the
user. A stick can be used to light your fire and warm you when cold, or to
cook your food when hungry. It can also be used to bludgeon someone to
death. There are two sides to every coin and the pentacle represents a
coin. It is a very ancient symbol, shrouded in the mystery of time,
associated with historical events of importance. It is associated with
Christ himself, through Mary Magdalene, his wife, who had to flee after the
crucifixion to France. There is a circle of hills, five in all, with a hill
in the middle. No one would accept it until lately with the coming of the
satellites in space. They are undeniable now because they are so clearly
seen from space. If you place the centre of the pentacle over the hill in
the middle the other five hills are placed exactly on each point of the
Most Christians would be horrified by the thought, of the Christ fathering
a child, wearing a pentacle, or being associated with, what many believe to
be, this great symbol of evil. He was a Nazarene, We the Nazarene's and the
followers of The Way all wear them, as did he. And the hills are there for
all to see. Recently there have been some good books written about this. We
are sometimes amazed at how close researchers have come to the real truth.
We the Caulbearers of the Old Order keep the knowledge alive, and hand it
down from generation to generation. We cannot tell a soul outside, as they
wouldn't believe it. Even when they actually discover that which is hidden,
I doubt if they will be able to accept it. Their belief system will get in
their way. The Way or the Order Of The Ancient Way as it is sometime known
is the only way of life that can easily be accepted by anyone, as you do not
have to put aside your common sense or reason, as you have to do in all
religions. The Order is based on, and about common sense and reason. We are
accused of all sorts of things, which are beyond reason, by those who know
only unreason. This is particularly hard to swallow when we have to take it
from Christians, as Jesus as he is known, was a member of both the
Brotherhood of Nazeareans and The Way. He said "I come before you to
prepare The Way" While professing to follow him, they interpret his every
word and so twist what he meant to the yoke of their own purpose, and debase
both the man and his purpose, thus causing the destruction of all that he
was and all that he meant, and all that he stood for. St Peter went to his
crucifixion because he refused to endorse these interpretations, or let
himself be used in this manner against his beloved friend. He died a heretic
and was never a pope, he refused to do it and paid the price.
On our membership card the words Knowledge, Truth, Reason and Logic are
If you have a reasoning mind, if you are a logical person, and can put aside
false things you may become a member. If you are knowledgeable and a seeker
of further knowledge, even if it be only in a small way and consider that
the truth about life, the maintaining of our planet and the way man treats
his fellow man and his fellow residents of this planet along with the future
of man, then you are already one of us.
Gladly most people are. Many do not realise it, but they are. This alone
gives us purpose and the strength to carry on. Do you want to make your
contribution to the World, to the future of your children, and to all
children? To the World and all that is upon the face of this World and even
that which is almost certainly beyond. Then join us. Everyone has something
to offer, and even if it is but small, the World needs it. You will be
welcome regardless of background. You will be most welcome.
