In response to the above
-- To whom it may concern:
Harv said that I was so hung up on identity that I don't post any content. So I played a little joke and parodied him. If he doesn't want to
tell about his career experience or education or tell his last name or identify his church affiliation or anything, his personal opinion becomes even less believable, since he doesn't stand by it...can run off and say, "it wasn't Harv!" If he is American, he lives in a free country...but judging by his attack, he probably doesn't like it being so free.
I don't think I placed Harv in a bad light except for subtlely implying he has God complex (in the last line). He could have parodied me, but instead is engaging in the "ad hominem attacks" which he keeps saying I am doing. He's not playing nice. And after all, I posted a website about logical fallacies a couple months on this list, making a big deal about the idea that we may not, if we want to be taken seriously, freely depart from logic in our long, digressive theorizing (Harv). But I did not think it was an attack, only honest, pertinent criticism and in most cases I gave examples which were tightly reasoned...and got no response.
Nearly as I can tell, the forum administrator is known to Harv. (For example has been responsive to Harv's complaint about "the perils of html tags being allowed" by removing the ability to post some tags in the text boxes.
I called Harv a 'klutz' once as a joke, and I put a smily face after it because I was kidding. You know -- "Smile when you say that."
I think Harv's identity is relevant. Many of his opinions, I think, have not been as relevant as his organizational affiliation...
