As you have read, Don is somewhat passionate of his beliefs. Nothing wrong there. But then so are you. Nothing wrong with that either. As for the Christian Dogma, we humans invented that. Christ said in the scriptures ( he was explicit) That we forgive out enemies and turn the other cheek. Christ forgave his executioners while still dying on the cross. After Chrisianity took off several hundred years later, things got out of hand. The Crusades were a big mistake. Basically driven by the Popes command to slay the infidel if he did not convert. Christ said what would happen for folks who didn't believe in him. He also said that "He who is not against us, is for us". He said not to kill un-believers but to pray for them and forgive them. Not kill them. The crusades and later times, especially the Inqusition, which was a horrible time, set Christianity back. The Catholic church was an Empire unto itself that presucuted their own kind bucause of Dogma.
