In an earlier post you described the third jump as the third leg of the triangle where the first two jumps are the other sides of the triangle.

So the third jump is the vector addition or substraction of the other two.

Again, add or substract is normally not allowed for proportionality constants. In addition, I do not believe that such constants imply orthagonality. They are always colinear.

Since you seem to have accepted the proportionality constant argument. I then have to ask you where the error is in my logic.

PS: I can accept a reference length, but the leap to self-reference is difficult for me. I do not see how two reference lengths can see each other. It's humans that see both reference lengths at the same time.
