The problem with psychology, and neurology as well, is that in order to treat an illness, the illness has to be labeled. Now in our society when you are labaled with a mental illness, be it psychological or neurological, you are stripped of certain rights, as you so ably list in the above post.

What I do to circumvent this process is to seek out professionals who agree to not make a diagnosis, thereby protecting my friends and relatives. However in doing so, you have to forsake insurance payments.
