can be refuted.

Let's agree that QED and GR are already known.

Then consider the EPR paradox that Einstein invented with the aid of Rosen and Padolsky to prove that Quantum Mechanics was wrong.

When the experiment was finally done, first by Aspect of France and then repeated by many others with different particles, it turned out that GR was wrong. Something was traveling faster than light in this experiment.

So here is a known theory that was refuted in special circumstances. That would seem to refute your views:

BTW, GR does not fall out of Staffords work. Only QM does.

In addition, there is no circularity in experiments.

In addition, Staffords results come from the symmetries he defined.

It is true that in any system of logic or mathematics, the theorems or solutions depend on the assumptions. You make different assumptions and you will get different results. That is not circularity- that's logic. However, in any system more complex than plane geometry, there are emergent solutions that are true that cannot be derived from the assumptions. Change the assumptions and you will get different emergent solutions, but they still cannot be derived from the assumptions. That is what Goedel started and now it has become a field of study.

So emergent solutions are examples that are not circular even in the sense that you use the word.

Regards,

Richard
