Hi Dick and Harv,

How about using the term 'mental model' or 'mental model of the universe' rather than 'mental image'? That way, we could agree that the term 'model' is strictly 100% communicable, where the 'image' may have all sorts of other features or aspects.

I think you two are on the right track for getting this misunderstanding straightened out, and I would hate to see it derailed by a simple unfortunate choice of words -- yet again.
