Not Sure What You Mean

Mike,

***I had to repost with the proper term
you agree that words can't "standardize definitions". Do you agree that words can't "acquire meanings?"***

The term 'meaning' is referring to a cognitive faculty to be able to understand concepts given some type of token. These tokens can be words, sentences, pictures, diagrams, equations, etc. Words, as tokens, acquire meaning if humans set them up (by convention) as such to represent particular concepts. This is the basis of language.

***You're wearing down my skeptical faculties
and if you have a religion you want me to
accept without inquiry, you have arrived at the
perfect time...I am convinced that blur
is not only mandatory...it is brilliance personified!***

I am not sure what you mean. I am advocating no such religion. Just fun chat.

Warm regards, Harv
