For example, SAP says that if there is an ensemble universe then this explains why the constants are so unique. They are just that many universes that do not produce observers. Because we happen to be observers we happen to find ourselves in one of the ones capable of supporting life. It just so happens that those constants are rather 'unique' to produce those results. That's an explanation. Whether its correct is another matter worthy of some philosophical attention.
