Both chaos or uncertainty is simply the solution of corresponding math equation which describes behavour of the system you investigate. Moreover - the same system (say, a gyroscope) can behave very predictable (stable precession at high speed), not very predictable (nutations at average speed) or very unpredictable (stochastic change of direction of axis of rotation at low speed) - just according to the solution of governing equation. Even small change in initial or boundary conditions can make profound (=catastrophic) difference in the solution.
