The main claim of this book is that the best evidence for the existence of what most people call god, but it could be as well a force like fate, is the number of coincidences that seem to occur in all our lives and which appear to be rather improbable on the basis of pure randomness.

That implies the existence of some sort of controlling force in human affairs. I seem to experience it in my life.

As for the circular reasoning in Smolin's hypothesis- it seems to me that both math and physics are inherently circular, being self-consistent.

My point however is that one can propose a natural mechanism for antropicity that could be an alternative for intellectual design.
